Why An Intensive Outpatient Program?

An intensive outpatient program (IOP) is often recommended when an individual requires a “step down” from one level of treatment to the next before they are ready to return home and apply their recovery skills to everyday life. Intensive Outpatient Treatment is a primary treatment program recommended in some circumstances by a clinical and medical assessment.

Skills For Lasting Recovery

At The Meadows Outpatient Center we teach time-tested recovery skills and help remove the blocks that produce a life full of joy, gratitude and acceptance. These skills promote loving, healthy relationships free from active addiction in an ongoing, permanent and successful recovery.

What Sets Us Apart?

The Meadows Outpatient Center program offers the benefit of The Meadows Model and the same high quality of care that exists on The Meadows main campuses. We combine The Meadows Model with a time-tested IOP milieu that together creates a blueprint for ongoing, successful, and long-term recovery. For over 40 years The Meadows has provided premier behavioral health treatment; addressing the core issues of trauma and addictive diseases.

Our IOP is set in a nurturing environment that’s ripe for continued recovery. Nestled in the breathtaking McDowell Mountains in North Scottsdale, Arizona, our sprawling over 6,200-square-foot facility is also home to The Meadows Conference Center. The Center is a place of community and home to The Meadows Inspired Recovery Alumni Group and Recovery Enhancement Group.

Customized, Unique Treatment

Patient safety is of the utmost importance. Therefore, every individual’s current issues and circumstances are taken into consideration to ensure they are clinically appropriate before they are admitted into the IOP program.

Individuals who come to The Meadows Outpatient Center must undergo a screening process to make sure they qualify for the IOP program without first having the need for a higher level of care. Additionally, anyone who has completed one of The Meadows’ inpatient programs in Wickenburg, Arizona must be pre-qualified for admission to the IOP as an aftercare alternative.

The Meadows Outpatient Center program is designed to foster the development of the individual while focusing on the previously identified gap in treatment from in-patient to self-sufficient living. Treatment is structured over an extended period offering a flexible schedule to accommodate work and school whenever possible. The program goal is to uncover and address the emotional and behavioral obstacles to long-term recovery as well as develop the life skills necessary to live a productive life, free from drug and alcohol dependence.
