Executive Director of Outpatient Services
Jim Corrington, Executive Director of Outpatient Services, earned his master’s degree in social work at the University of Maryland. He has been in the recovery field as a director/therapist for outpatient programs for nearly three decades, during which time he has seen thousands of patients and families treated. Corrington has also spent 15 years working with the Arizona Medical Board and Arizona Board of Pharmacy monitoring programs running weekly relapse prevention groups for impaired professionals. In addition, as a former athlete, he also has extensive experience working with impaired professional athletes. Corrington’s personal recovery from addiction and trauma began 30 years ago, and he brings a strong passion to the process.
Director of Outpatient Services-Scottsdale
Debra has a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling. She is trained in EMDR and has been working in the field of trauma for over 18 years. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She also provides supervision for licensure to therapists in need of clinical supervision. Debra has worked with patients from age 3 to 84. She has worked various treatment settings such as; private practice, inpatient in hospitals, crisis intervention, residential treatment, and outpatient treatment facilities. After serving as the Clinical Director at the Meadows Outpatient Center in Scottsdale, Debra stepped into the role of Director of Outpatient Services of the Arizona program in December of 2019.
Executive Director of Outpatient Services at Meadows Behavioral Healthcare Jim Corrington has 36 years of sobriety, and it’s that personal connection paired with more than three decades of professional experience that make him an expert in the field of addiction and recovery. During graduate school, Corrington wanted to dive deeper into 12-Step terminology and ask, “What is the difference between somebody who gets well and somebody who doesn’t?” Today, his work centers on helping people find unique, tailor-made “recipes” for sobriety, giving them a better chance of reaching their recovery goals.
